Allan + Christina | Dallas Photographer

Marrying the girl next door doesn’t happen too often these days, but for Christina and Allan, it did. From receiving their First Communion together, Allan in a tiny black suit, Christina in a white dress, to graduating college in matching robes and mortar boards, these childhood sweethearts have weathered the storm. So for the two, marriage was the obvious and only choice left for them to seal their lives together as one. And what better way to do that, than by going home to where it all started in a small Texas town in the Rio Grande Valley.

This union was the first for both families, so after an eventful dress rehearsal, everyone took a load off and enjoyed some amazing BBQ at the Longhorn Cattle Co. in San Benito. Their excitement for the next day was obvious and their flower girl, biggest cheerleader, and Allan’s sister entertained the crowd. The next afternoon, after the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids spent their morning doing hair and makeup, and the groomsmen were good sports braving the 100 degree heat for a few – very quick! – pictures, Christina and Allan joined their lives together before their friends and family. Although there was a slight hiccup with the flowers, I switched hats to wedding planner and all was well. Marriage was the only inevitable step to end the individual chapters in their lives and start a new one, together. No Texas wedding would be complete without some line dancing, two-stepping, and sweet tea! The mother of the bride who is, by the way, an amazing cook, sent guests home with handmade dessert packages. And while we may not have been in the running for the best Macarena or Boot Scoot Boogie, that didn’t stop us from trying… for a bit. I think Tanya will be sticking to photography!

We couldn’t have been more excited to capture C+A’s wedding and were honored to be their go-to photographers, even if they are family. So on a personal note, thank you Allan for making Christina so happy and welcome to the family.

As always, keep it classy.
